Okay, in other news - I was accepted at SCAD - Savannah College of Art and Design! With scholarships! Yay! That cover just one third of a years tuition total! Yay!... not so much. I want to attend so badly, but money is SUCH a problem *insert mild rage here* and I still have no idea of what I'm going to do. It's a shame to waste the scholarships I received, but.. but.. aish. My family can't generate the amount of cash that is needed, but maybe we'll figure out a way. ..I need a sponsor! :D Aww.

Hey~

Here's a batch of sketches I've done in the last ~2 months. I wasn't productive much, I guess the holiday season took over, but I'm back on track! I already finished one painting yesterday and I'm halfway with another one. ^^

This is a sketch/brainstorm for the painting I'm doing now.

2012 ♥ History & future

Hello in the brand new year that has started just a bunch of hours ago - how wonderful is that! This is gonna be a post to those who feel like reading and a little bit to those who like pictures only. :D

Checkpoint

I congratulate you with the beginning of this year, I hope you have an awesome year and things just keep going upwards from this point on, if they have't already.

I think that this point of the year is essential for every one of us, it's like a checkpoint to stop and think about what has happened and what should I do to make things happen the way I'd love for them to. We should do this more frequently rather then just one time a year, but everyone's so busy all year long, they forget about the little things.

Formerly I thought it's kinda pointless or cliche to think about resolutions for the new year just around this one particular time of the year, like people didn't know how to check on themselves more then once a year, but as it turns out, people just don't. :D So at least this one day between 365 [366] days we gather our thoughts and consider - what's going on with our lives. At least once.

Resolutions

As many, I also tried of thinking about some, but nothing really works for me. The usual ''I'm gonna eat healthier, gonna do this more and that less, etc'' just get forgotten. But also, to live by some rules you make for yourself is also not the greatest thing, because I think it's all about living the way you feel the most comfortable and happy. If doing nothing makes you happy, hey, then do nothing! You can live or screw up your life just once [in general], so just go for it, it's your choice after all and only you will benefit or lose from your own actions. We have brain to think for a reason, use it, it's really convenient sometimes. :) I'm saying this to myself as well as those who feel like I'm saying this to them, hehe. :]

My Resolutions

I will try to do something productive [almost] every day. I'll take a grasp on Japanese a bit more frequently, otherwise my weird amount of knowledge is not enough. I will have a hedgehog as a pet. I will read at least one book a year. I will keep listening to the amounts of music I do everyday. I will live my life and not complain [much]! :)

It's short, but these are the little things that make me - me. I want to keep them going!

This Blog

I remember when I started it in December year 2008, I thought I'll only post some stupid photoshop graphics and talk about music, but it turned out to be my public diary, sketch and life blog and I'm happy to have an audience, thanks~ ^ ♥ ^ I deleted two posts I had in that December, they were meaningless, so I'll count it as I've started this in 2009. I hope to continue this as it is and maybe do a blog-face-lift somewhen this month!

This year will be the beginning or the crash of something. What? Until it happens, I'll keep it to myself. :]

And welcome who's new, I see a couple of new people. ^^

A short post, just a couple of things~

A little sketch I did, it's laying around, thought I'd share it. :]

I had my namesday on Dec 20th and my parents gave me two gifts that I really appreciate. In Latvia we celebrate our names as well, like birthdays, just not so festive maybe.

This book was given to me from my dad, he bought it in Germany and I feel happy that he thinks about what I'd like even if I hadn't asked for anything. He doesn't really get me gifts for birthdays and namesdays, but not that it's bad, I just never ask for anything and it's better that if I really need something, then I could ask for that any other day, rather then he goes and spends money on a weird hat that I'd never wear, for example. :D But this is different, he had thought about it himself and got it for me without me even knowing he'd been in an art store in Germany. ... I'd probably would have asked for some stuff if I knew he'd been there. xD lol, it's good that he didn't say anything.

And this, ladies and gentleman, is a clock! From my mom. She just knows that if it's pretty, has crystals and sparkles - I'll like it! :D Also a surprise. I do remember pointing at it in a magazine and saying that it'd look great in my new room, but that was a split second and I didn't know she heard it. :)

Though I'm not sure how on earth I'm gonna tell the time with this thing.. =.=

Summing up, this was really nice from them, as giving actual gifts is not a big thing in our family (at least not since we're all kinda grownup. ;D), only if there's something the other one needs or would really appreciate of having. I felt like an 8 year old child on a Christmas day, when any present under the tree seems the awesomest thing. :D

Oh, and Christmas is just in a few days! Have a nice time till then~ C:

Hello~

This time I'll update with lots of photos, I hope you don't mind, I was playing around with a neighbors' camera, we're getting our first DSLR soon. Can't wait!

I know that for me to visit an art supply shop, that's the end of me having money for a while. I was right, but hey, I regret nothing! Let's see what I got. ^^

Previously I mentioned that I needed some dark shades for my acrylic painting, so I got dark brown, black and.. well, that light blue looked so nice!

Brushes. I had to throw three out, one I broke while painting, two I damaged (I need to learn how to take care of my stuff. -.-), so there I take on the brush-stand.

I got 8 brushes, the priciest one was for watercolours, it's in none of the pics. D: It's so nice. ;u; I have a thing for brushes, okay?

The orange ones are for acrylics, they are so awesome, I broke one like the small orange one.

But I wish they we're less pricey. :I But anyhow, it's not like I'm buying brushes every month, maybe one or two times a year as I don't paint THAT much.

A cute, little flower palette. :D I just needed something with higher boarders when I mix colours, it'll help with bigger quantities of colour, as I mixed one in a cap of one of the paints, because I just didn't have anywhere to mix it in. o.o And that makes a mess.

This thing down here is a palette actually. Paper'ish kind, 50 sheets, great for acrylics, you just mix and stuff and use and then throw the sheet out and you have a clean one for the next time! No need to wash physical palettes.

My favorite and most expensive part of the items I purchased - brand new, awesome watercolours! I've always wanted professional ones, as I have mine from who knows when. :D When I was a kid, from that time. I will still keep them, of course~

They are in these cube-thingies and when you use them up, you can just get a new single cube at the store. =D I finally have my first cube-thingie-watercolours, that's all I need. xD Okay, and all the stuff I just mentioned.. ._.

Unwrapping the cube was the best part. ;u; I haven't gotten to painting yet, sorry. ^__^;;

More than one tail.

Hello!

I'm currently working on a 30x40 cm canvas painting with acrylics. At first [a few months back] I hated acrylics, but I just took them out and made myself use them and as a shock it came to me - they are perfect for smaller canvas illustration style painting. ♥ I wish someone told me earlier. ^^''

I have only six colours - green, yellow, red, pink, blue and white - so colour mixing theory comes in handy, thank gosh I understand colour, as I did not only a couple years back, I was struggling with how to make it work, but now it's all okay. I even had to make a dark shade out of these six, but as I need it even more darker, I guess it's time to purchase black, ech.

And working with acrylics is a nicely paced process, I'm glad they dry fast, though sometimes it's a big disadvantage. Anyhow, I'm gonna finish it this week so yay! Shall post finished version then~

Oh. And the animal has more then one tail, you'll see. The sketch is a lie! :D

THE Painting!

Hi~

So, that painting I started quite a while back has been finished. It actually was finished in the beginning of august . :'D

However, I found the ONLY footage I have of it shining plus a really crappy cell phone snapshot [the colours are just hideous, I promise, in real life they're balanced! :D] and here you can check it out. I had to give the painting away soon after so I didn't get to snap it anymore. :I

It shines just like heaven when you walk by the painting or sun rays or light falls on the canvas. You probably have noticed that I like everything that shines and I tend to make my drawings, let it be digital or traditional - shine. Sparkles, I love. Like magical pixie dust. ♥

Hey. :]

Lately I have been busy with things related to a university I want to get into in the future [distance learning] and I will update on that if things go smoothly with this one damned thing, which is an exam I feel like I did bad. :[ But I will know in two weeks, so I will see if it's worth updating then..

I have been also doing this one freelance logo job, finally done with that. There were several problems regarding the making of it [not on my nor the clients part though], but that's somewhat done, they're happy, I'm happy, everything's cool there.

Then this other project someone invited me to be a part of for my drawing skills [which are doubty anyways], but I'm honored so that's cool as well. :'D Shall update on that when it's done, possibly somewhen this year, but we're so lazy, we can't get it done fast haha.

I was asked by the principal of the art school, which I attended when I was a kid, to prepare art for March, cause she want's to make another exhibition of my stuff there, how cool is that? Pretty nice, but considering my slow work pace lately, I dunno what I will have made by that time.

It's kinda weird, I am not attending any schools or anything, but still I feel like there is always something I have to do, get finished, make.. artsyartsyartsy all over the place and day and yeah. o.o

I just threw some pictures I have of. Things. Yes. So there is also something visual to look at. :D Sorry for the absence and lack of sketches/art. :C

I drink coke from a bottle I love. The design. I just can't get over it, so much love! I try not to drink it all the time, because my stash has just a few six packs and they travelled all the way from Italy. we don't have theme as pretty here. :I

I have finally finished designing my own portfolio website, a place for my drawings and personal info! It really took me a long time and in the end I needed some help to get the website live, because I was that clueless at that point, but finally.. it's all done! At least for now. :D

And I have a new computer! It's an iMac 27", i5, 3.1 GHz beastly machine. <3 It's amazingly fast and easy to work with, I'm totally a mac person now & I regret nothing! :D All worth it. Great computer for creative people.

I've been wanting it for more then a year and I did a lot of research on it, it wasn't just like ''Oh, hey, I wanna buy a mac today!'' and after a lot of pros and cons lists [lol cons? who am I kidding? There are no cons, except it's too good to be true.] I made the decision to purchase it after all. Wise decision. :D

P.s. here in Latvia with all the taxes this moder would have costed me ~800 USD more, can you imagine the unfairness? And no, I did NOT get it here, I got a good deal in the UK, the fair one.

As now I can work more productively, soon enough there will be new artsy things~ ♥

Hello, blog! It's been a while. :) After a quite stressful last few weeks I'm finally lazing around, time to blog. >:]

The last couple of weeks, especially last week we're hectic. x.x You know how I've been doing that huge painting and it turns out I had to finish it till last friday, so I can put it up in the local mall for a little showcase of my stuff, so I got my grip and had to finish it up, so there's something bigger to show off as well. It was paaaain and late nights, but I pulled it off along with finishing another drawing, framing 10 of them and just a lot of details had to be fixed, but now it's over and everything turned out great! ^^

One of the drawings I also had to finish, so I have something to frame. As most of my stuff is digital, I had only 6 acceptable traditional drawings [because the rest I have are to plain] and 4 digital prints.

This one was sold, it's my all time favorite traditional piece. ;u; But I'm glad that someone who I know purchased it, I'll get to see this original version sometimes~ ^u^

Our tiny booth thingy~ We we're sitting there drawing, my best friend was making bears and other kids we're learning to draw with my ''AWESOME'' tips. :D We we're there actually just to showcase stuff, not really sell, but if someone wanted anything, well we were open for business. :)

The most awkward picture ever! :D But it's the only one I have of us there. ^^;

I don't have many pictures and the ones that I have are really blurry [oh mom! :D] but this is somewhat how it looked. And there's the painting as well. :) I'm gonna make a different post dedicated just to that painting, it has a lot of info to it to mention. ^^

My grandma makes these little necklace accessories, we took them along and put up as well~ They are actually really tricky to make, they're made from tiny pearls, but you can't see it here exactly ~

Ugly shadow. -.-'' One of my sketches while there~

This kind of bears my friend makes, also really long and tricky process. You have to pinch and poke wool chunks with this tiny needle to get something out of it, I tried and well, the next day my arm hurt and the bear looked quite.. not friendly. :'D

This blue bear was sold and it had a birth date on it's back, also poked in with the small needle, because the girl who bought it wanted to gift it to her friend~

This bear was a gift for me! ^^ I love it, so awesome. -u- My friend asked for one of my framed digital printouts and we did the little gift exchange. C:

Overall, that Friday was really awesome and it was interesting to see all these people pass by and check out what we're we doing and they browsed my book as well as checked out the other drawings~ I'm glad that people admire my stuff, because I actually draw or others. For others to see and wonder while they look~ And the fact that people stopped and threw a look at the booth, means a lot to me, because it must mean that I'm doing at least something right. I made them look! C:

And I got an offer to do a logo for a soon to probably be established firm, I'll try that and see how it works.

The only thing I lacked was business cards.. :D I have to make some.. -.-''

There we're people who recognized my name from the Art School I attended as a kid and also some of my work that has been showcased at that school a little while ago, so that's great as well. =] My little tree is slowly growing branches, I have to make the tree bloom one day. C:

Books I have 'em.

As I mentioned in the last post I'll share some of my recently purchased books. So you know - I'm not a ''reader'', so 90 % of my books are picture books, artbooks, fashion books or anything mixed from all of that, but a rare thing happened two weeks ago.

I purchased this book titled ''Howl's Moving Castle''. I saw a wonderful drawing from someone on deviantART, which was fanart of Howl and then it just wen't *flick* like that, and there I was just ordered a book. With text. To read. o.o That's new, because I never read. Plus this story has also an animation movie, which I'll be sure to watch after finishing the reading.

I like how the book is so cute and small, adorable.

The next one is ''The Tokyo Lookbook'' wish is mostly about the crazy fashions you can see in Harajuku, Shinjuku and around Omotesando area. As I love the crazies, this is very inspirational and interesting for me, but might not be for everything, because the fashion sometimes is really... well crazy as hell! You can see stuff like that in Japan only. C:

Another unexpected purchase is this ''Japanese Mind'' book, which explains their mentality, values, how they see the world, why they are the way they are and generally speaks about the Japanese mind, as titled. :] I guess I can read what really interests me. Guess this is it. o.o

These next four books I got as a bundle, they made them super extra cheap [was like 4 for 1 book's price] = 15 euro or so. Got them at zeixs.com

What is interesting about these is that every book has their own colour, as you can see. The black one is in greyscale and the other four are a colour +black&white graphics only. Pretty clever.

The last purchase of mine is not really a book, but it's something I've wanted for quite a while, okay, from the moment when they announced multitasking. xD Until then I though that the phone is just meh. But I've been loving it every second, it really has everything I need in an excellent and sleek device. ♥ And with the contract I got this from my operator - basically it was a great deal, `cos I got it half the price that you had to pay to get it. And now two years gonna pay for it. XD But I've done this previously, so the way this works is okay. In the end I would have paid for it ~100 euro less then I would have if I bought it in the store. Which is nice.

This was my previous phone, uuugh, kill it with no mercy! I hade to take it when my sister got her new one and I gave my old one to mom. I regret taking this, because it is the worst phone I've ever had, eww, it's just non-likable. :I I'm glad I got rid of it. -u- Not really, but I just can have a normal one instead of this ewwy eww.

P.s. I buy everything with my own money which I earn or save up and I'm a save-up-er! :D I don't have it growing on trees, if it might look like that.. :I Anyways. Next update is going to have some sketches, yay~ ♥

Ice cream coupons.

Hi there. ^^ Especially hello to those who have just started following my blog. Yeah. HI. C:

The title is related to the fact that we got a ton of McDonald's ice-cream coupons, basically - one coupon = one free ice cream, so we've been driving to McD for almost no reason almost every day. =.='' Talk about economy. But that has to do somewhere around zero % of todays post. ^^ Let's move along~

I got around making two little pictures of my-lame-self remembering the exams that took place recently. I can't believe that high school is really over and now I get to study what I love, not what I have to. ♥

Talking about things in progress - the huge painting I'm doing, is actually progressing! Because it was on a big break due to school and the fact that my table got confiscated. xD But now things are back in place and I'm totally working on it. C: As it appears I know how to paint roses - that's new! But the hardest par is to make both sides of rose bunches look from the same kind of rose bush. -.-'' These are 4 on one side and there's gonna be four more on the other, and let me tell you - at the moment they look nothing like these. xD I have no idea how I'm gonna make them work *foreverdespair* ..

And at the moment, which is 20 minutes ago, I'm working on a tattoo for a friend, but I'm not anticipating to make like a kick-ass tattoo, because to be a tattoo artist you have to be like art God. o.o I just have to get the basic idea done and make a simplified stencil-like tattoo, no shading, no colour. As it's gonna be pretty small the detailing wouldn't work.

So I'm for now studying out the main object - a scorpion - so I can later trace it and make a stencil. ^^ Which brings me to my next point - to trace stuff nicely I FINALLY BOUGHT A LIGHT BOX OMG. <3 It is the most gorgeous thing, but I wouldn't actually know, `cause I purchased it today, but it's coming to me from UK lol. :D But as far as this video shows me it's the most gorgeous light box/light table I've ever seen. Because I've seen only bulky and big tables, light boxes etc. But this! Aww, can not wait to get my hands on it and do my first tracing. =w= I'm such a sucker for art gosh. I had seen a similar one by ''Copic'' brand, but it costs like WTF.. around 160 euro/200 $/150 pounds and more. But this I bought around 70 euro/100 $/59 pounds. [Please bare with my converting in my head. :D] I guess I'm gonna show it off when I get it. =w=

By the way, I keep buying books lately, haha, I'll throw in some pictures of my artbook and other book purchases some other time. I'm always really bad with doing fanarts, but I want to do them all the time. Why bad? Well, I just can't draw what I have in my mind originally, I end up in an absolutely different place. Wanting to draw a female portrait, I end up drawing a male full body picture with weird stuff. And vice versa. I wish it wasn't like that, so I could just go ''Oh. I'll draw Johnny Depp now!'' and actually do that. So I'm sometimes afraid to go off-board with commissions, when I'm asked to draw a certain something. I have to keep myself on track.

Even this fanart. ... I already modified some original stuff to my liking and don't even think of editing it out, nah-ah. :D

Maybe you know who is that? Guess? It's a really easy guess for people who are aware of the series. :]

It's Naruto, for those who don't know. I've been slowly going through these series and the scenes with Pein/Nagato made me really want to draw him. I've never actually been a fan of this character, but eh, I don't even know. I just want to finish it. -u- And this one even has a background, how awesome is that? I'm progressing slowleeeh~

So. I'm slowly getting somewhere, just barely thinking up the colour scheme, wish seems to be hard for me this time, probably because of the dark background, but I could have changed it, but I don't want to for now. :'D

There's not much to comment on this one at the moment, you can see that I added notes to self, `cos I tend to forget what I intended at first. and there are some things under questioning, heh.

Oh. I had an English exam yesterday and today was the speaking part. I can't tell you how bad was the first day omg... I felt really sick and stressed, which is why I messed up some answers and almost didn't notice a whole task on the back of the papers they gave, oh gooooosh, I hope I guessed some answers right as I didn't have the time nor energy to think. :'D I just hope I'm lucky, but that I'll know some when in June when the grades are published..

For a long time I've wanted a pet hedgehog and I feel like I will somehow get on in the nearest future. :D They are the sweetest little creatures, ever.

This hedgehog was running around in our garden, so we took it inside for a few minutes, awwwh, it's the best. ♥ That's our cat + hedgehog and the lower picture is the little creature in my lap, he snuggled onto me. ^u^*

But of course we let it go away, as he probably has it's little hedgehog family with little hedgehog kids and a hedgehog wife [`cos I assumed this one's the husband. :'D I was probably wrong anyways. -.-]

So there. I love hedgehogs and I want one so baaad. ♥

I'm diving back into my first comfort zone - visual kei style of crazy ass clothing. Just weird stuff you can only see in Japan. :D Visual kei is about visual appearance on stage + rock music, crazy hair, make-up and accessories. And pretty much focused mostly on male bands. So it tends to be a TRAP! :D
A lot of people can't really grasp it and are put-off by it, but everything goes for open-minded people. =]

I wonder if I'll get to finish it up, as there are so many details and everything, it'll be hard to choose the right colour palette.. :I

I have a bit of something to show today. So. A colleague of my moms' asked for me to draw 10 little drawings for the kindergarten her child is in, long story short - she needed the characters from a story the parents/parent/I-dunno wrote. Here are the 8 animals, two extra drawings are not here, as I gave them away and don't have a picture or anything. :'D

Each drawing had to be cute and sweet, you know, for the children. And you know, at some points they were too sweet and innocent for me to handle. :D

But eventually I got through the smiley, cute and happy drawings~

I have never drawn actual cartoony animals like this, so don't judge me! My first try. .__.

New tools - yay! :] Well, actually these were purchased more then a year ago, but they were sitting in a shelf thousands of miles away from me, in the sunny California, USA. As I bought them on the Blick online site. It delivers super cheap to the US but outside it's a ridiculously high rate. Really, they almost charged me 40+ dollars for shipping to my country. Which is WTF.

So, basically, I got them sent to someone I know from my country that lives there now and only now we managed to arrange the pencils to get shipped to me, the cost was 15 dollars.. ...... I mean, seriously? I wonder why is this overpriced shipping thing going on at Blick. But that aside, to the pencils!

The brand is Caran d'Ache - Pablo series, 40 pencils. The price was pretty OUCH, but I knew I wanted something really good and they don't sell this or any other great pencil brand here, which is a bummer. My Copic markers are also from outside the borders - Germany and the states. I wish there was a store that sold all that here as well. But it's not like you can't get anything here - the majority of other things, such as paints, brushes other jazz can be found in great quality. But it'd be great if we had the major brands as well, I like my tools to be the best, so I don't waste money on the cheaper things, that I have to buy and buy again and again, `cos they break or wear out, or just aren't as good. But that doesn't go for everything, you can't just buy all the pricey stuff and think that it's good, because the price is high and mighty. -.-''

The colours are awesome and I can't wait to use them on something more serious, though I never use only one kind of tools for a drawing on paper - each tool has it's own groove and they do their own thing and are good for different effects and looks.

I tried them out just a little tiny bit, it's so refreshing to use pencils, as I have never had any really neat ones and when I was a kid, I never enjoyed coloring with pencils as they just were not working, because they were cheap, made streaks, didn't blend, too hard - impossible and stressing to work with. I remember from middle school art classes, uughh. But this is a new story~ Finally something great. ♥

They came with a little but of literature with some tips or something, in various languages.

And here's where I tried them, bit here, bit there - only two or 3 colours. You can see how they make a super sweet dimension, looks like the edges of that hat are coming out of the paper~ I don't like to press pencils hard on the paper, I always do really light colourings.. another middle school art class flashback: the teacher always told me to press them harder and colour boldly. x.x I hated doing that.. takes too much time and the effect doesn't look cute at all.

In general, I suggest these pencils to people, who know how to work with pencils. :D I never try to hope and expect for something that I buy to be this and that [for example, I didn't wait for the pencils to be soft or waxy or pastelly], because expectations might get crushed. So I just get them, try them and then analyze where will the work the best for me. :] Don't buy them unless you've tried them out, if you expect them to be something special for your needs. <- it's complicated, but that's how it is! xD

I'll share some things I've purchased recently, still, saving up like crazy!

As I like to buy things online [when the packages arrive it's like Christmas all over again] and when I feel the urge to get something, I usually dig in ebay. But there mostly I look for the little things, not really clothing or fancy things that I'd need authentic and I could just get ripped-off there easily.

I've read some things about this BB Cream [click to Wiki] which comes from Asia and had the urge to have one, as I use liquid foundation anyways, but I use such small amounts, because I don't feel comfy with a thick layer of.. stuff on my face. x.x Basically, I just bought it - Missha label, here it is exactly where I got it on ebay.

This exact one is reeeeally pale, pearl porcelain doll kind or something, but right for me, as I'm, well, a light-skin person. I was surprised how liquid-y it is! Feels so great and soft after the Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid one I used previously [in the middle], which now reminds of a heavy clay syrup. xD It's not THAT bad, but I'm glad I discovered BB. -.-''

As for the seller from whom I got this on ebay, they sell all kinds of these creams and other stuffs, so check them out here. They sent me a photo of my package to my email when they sen't the pack out, which is a first! :D No one actually has done that for me, which is nice, shows that they care and are genuine about their business. And they actually did include a bunch of testers to try out and a little gift [depends on the price of what you buy, though] and the packaging was extra cute, in a wrapper with hearts and a bow. :D Aww.

That is how it looks, the bottle is actually all hard plastic, it's not like you have to push the tube like it looks. xD I was really surprised, `cos actually I had never experienced a bottle like that, so props to Missha, that was unexpected.

Then another thing is a watch necklace, I like those. Okay, it's actually only my second one, but still! I love the long necklace part a lot, well, here's what I got. Super cheap as well! Which is = yay for cheap stuff from China! :D I allow myself to spend a little from time to time on China stuff. -u-

To be honest, it's actually freakishly pretty and shiny and everything. Gorgeous little watch~ The last one I had still works, but it had some gems which have fallen out, some of them, that is.

It arrived only today, actually, after a month or more. :D But I aint even mad. Pretty used to that. Go here to check out they extra cheap watches! -D- Mine was like ~2 pounds/ with shipping.

So. Next is some perfume! I've wanted to own this John Galliano bottle for a while now [mostly because of the bottle, yes, perfume? ehmeh]. And somehow unexpectedly it happened. xD There's a woman who sells the perfume which are the testers in stores, so their price drops to more then half less for the big size bottle and of course, I had to have it. She rarely has any perfume that I like, but yay for this!

I can tell you a secret, which might be pretty true. The testers in stores tend to be more stronger and pure perfumes, so, when you got to a store, spray it on a piece of paper or yourself whatevers - it stays longer and when you're home you can still smell it clearly and strongly and it might make you wanna buy it, if you haven't already.

And well, I kinda got another bottle... for the bottle. .___. But who cares, I spent half the price of one bottle for TWO big sized ones, that means something! xD It means savings. <-

This perfume is ''Womanity''.. by.. someone. It's fine, but the bottle was my goal. They both are really strong and pretty grown-up scents, more like evening perfume for me.

I just wanted to share that I love doing eye make-up. :D

And now I'm gonna share my dirty, little [big] white [should be] cat in a work-in-progress pose. Halfsitting. Standing. I don't even know, I just snapped it. xD

Oh, and we made supersweet pastries not long ago, they have nutella and marshmallows inside, yum~ Damn.. I just noticed that I'm truly a girlie girl I guess <.< I like make-up, pretty clothes, baking, cooking, shopping and drawing. :D I guess I won't deny it, eh.

I was in the car with my dad, driving home and Born This Way came on. He blasted the speakers to the max, so loud that it's hard to hear your thoughts and with all that I thought: ''Finally, someone who likes to listen to some loud music in the car!'' Afterwards the song ended, he said the exact same thing to me. :)

And I really like the song, it sounds so good loud! And the message of it is really top notch~ You don't have to be a fan of gaga to admit that the words are honest and everyone should just be who they are, accept others the way they are and don't be a drag, just be a queen. ^^

I hope that all of my followers are open-minded people, who can live their lives happily, not judging anyone, just enjoying the opportunity to live on this world.

Not really ''How to draw awesome paintings'', please, because I suck at that, I just roll and do my own thing. :'D Something not that general, but more exact.

Lazy digital artists assets a.k.a. cheating in digital art!

Basically, I just stared, not knowing what it'll be after I'm done and at some point I started to record.

I usually don't use that many for-lazy-digital-artists features, but I wanted tot show off what can be done to your advantage or not so muchos. Lemme go through some of them.

Adjustments [4:10] - these are essential to make the piece look better in general, see how color balance, contrast and other things enhance the overall look? Well, this is very much needed, in my opinion, also when you scan a picture and the colors are overexposed, you have to correct it with digital gear. By the way, you don't need fancy shamncy software for that, good old Microsoft Picture Manager does the trick! When I was on my dad's laptop for the whole summer, I used only that.

Liquify [4:25] - it is good to fix problems like one eye too high or chin too short/long, nose too low and similar, I do consider it cheating, but sometimes it's just hard to fix all that and not know - maybe how it was before it was better? I tend to use this too when everything is almost 100% finished, but I try not to rely on it much, I have to learn to fix things myself. ^^

Custom brushes [4:44]- I really try not to go overboard with them, because they are the root of cheating, in my opinion, haha. :D Well, not really, but only the ones like already made hair brushes, grass, eyelashes, sometimes even outfits, buildings etc - it's like the job is already done and you don't need to do any work. I don't feel it as genuine digital painting, when you apply someone else's work onto your own. I tend to use some custom made effect brushes, like splatter, some rough brushes, well, textured ones, but reeeeally rarely. As I can't get them to work the way I want anyways. So I stick to the basic round brushes.

Yes, I actually have a ton of them, but I just toy around with them and use for different projects, not paintings.

The ''copy+flip+paste'' [5:21] - I'm a sinner! I do take advantage of this frequently, I feel ashamed. .__. But then again, mostly when doing a sketch, to make it go faster. Like copy a leg, flip it horizontally and paste it. Then modify/redraw to my needs. I try to avoid this when the painting is already in the finishing stages.

The patterns [5:45] - I sometimes use them for backgrounds, as I'm not a background person. I try to not make them too in-your-face, so they are just an adjustment to the drawing, so it feels more finished and polished. Though it doesn't really work for me mostly. xD But anyways, I don't feel good by using them. -.-''

Filters [6:02] - I almost never use them, this was an experiment, really. I always feel very sceptical of them, like again - they do all of it in your place. Want a watercolory look? Here you go! Want inverted effect? Ka-chinggg! I do use the blur one for photography, though~

That is pretty much it this time, I have more videos upcoming, I just haven't had time to process them, but now I kinda do. :D

Acrylics, the yet undiscovered.

A couple of days ago I got some acrylic paints, because.. well, I just didn't have any, but as I'm an all-kinds-of-mediums person, I had to try them out.

I got only the primary colours + green, white & pink. Because you pretty much can make any colour out of yellow+blue+red, but I said ''pretty much any''. ;D I rarely use raw blacks, so none of that for now, can mix the darks when you spudge it all together, anyways.

As it takes a lot of time to prepare everything when you want to paint with oils, I though that this would be a breeze, well, I was wrong. xD

My hands are all red now and I kept spilling the colours where I should have not to. o.o'' They are quite liquidesque, that's pretty much why. I give a ''+'' to oils for not spilling everywhere, but a ''+'' for acrylics, because all the paint doesn't stick to my brush, while mixing.

I had to do some touch-ups for the face, on that huge painting you all know about by now, so I decided to go over with acrylics. At first I was like HOLLY CRAP this is harder then I thought, but 2 minutes later, as I adapt to new mediums really fast, for example - digital drawing, copic markers, watercolors - somehow I didn't need a lot of time to ''learn'' how to make them work, but usually I hear people say ''ooh, it's too hard, the markers won't work and watercolors make my paper crinkle, so I must be doin` it wrong!!1''. :D

But yeah. I guess layering and working fast is the key, as the paints dry really fast, comparing to oils, of course. I will be, however, using them for smaller paintings in the future. ^^

OH. One more thing - * LE SMELL. * I really hate the smell, ugh. x.x Hate is a strong word, so maybe not hate but really close to that. :I Oils totally have more awesome smell + the terpentine = artist junky.

I have so, so, so much to do on this painting, ah~ I wonder if I'll ever finish.. xD

I need a studio, it'd be awesome. :D

Oh na na, I like to paint.

Hey. =]

Today I'll show my progress with the huge badass canvas I got and had to paint.. something! Go here, if you are not sure about what am I talking about & to know what'n'why.

I drew the idea digitally, then made a grid, printed the drawing out. Then I drew the grid on my canvas [which I previously painted in light ocher colour] & then slooowly drew the drawing big-size, following my grid squares, otherwise I wouldn't be able to center it appropriately and other jazz, basically - the grid is a real helper when it comes to big things like this.

I really don't know why, but my iPod always seems to be in my snapshots, well, most of them. I don't really do this on purpose, but I guess it likes to pose or something. o.o Maybe it creeps in. O.O Anyways.. you can see the drawing in this picture - a girl with a lily dress, behind her there's roses and leaves, possible water bubbles shall be added in the ending stages. Everything brings attention to the center~

When the sketch was done, I painted the basic colours, which where for the skin, roses and the dress. Funny thing is that I still haven't filled the leaves nor the hair, but started doing the next stage of more detail adding to the already filled areas. The basic filling process is extra boring, I just wanna do my teeny tiny paintsy stuff, which is just relaxing to do~

Some shadowing in progress. The face is my favorite part, as always. ^w^ Though the whole process goes two times slower, because I just don't wat to screw up - there's no ''undo'' button. D: Not I can flip the image, I'd need to put it in front of the mirror in that case. :D

Here goes my first ever oil painted flower - lily for the lily dress! ^D^ I admit that I totally enjoyed painting the flower, though I honestly thought it'd be a drag.. :'D What if I turn to painting still life plants afterwards? xD

OH, OH, my second lily ever! I think they look decent for my first oil flowers and they will get some makeover in the future processes as well, but as long as they look like flowers, I'm saved! :D I'm gonna do the dress next, probably over the weekend, as I need for everything to dry. I'm kind of afraid of getting to the roses part.... :D

This is the mess on the other desk where I also looked up for some references, but honestly, I don't really refer to them as I wished I did. I usually browse a lot of images, in this case - lilies, and kind of store them in my head and paint as I remember them. I actually forget to look at the references. It always happens that way, it's weird. And the damned PC is getting on my nerves more and more, every day.. Mac please?

Oh, and I wanted to mention a little about the colors and colouring [yes I use both kinds of ''color''colour''] - I think that the key is in the color mixing process. It is really hard to get the color that you want and that works and when you mix it right, you probably mixed too little of it and then you try to add more of the colors you used and then you loose the shade you had at first, it get's frustrating.. :D I paint with really lean layering..thing or how to call it. I make the colour watery [terpentine-y] and then paint, it's somehow easier and doesn't use up that much colour from your tubes. Oh, and never to paint straight fro the tube! Not in the 6th grade anymore. [I was totally proud of myself when I mixed my own lilacs, browns and pale pink skin tones. =D Going back to the thick/lean coloring - I guess I'll have some thicker strokes towards the end, but I think I have this thing of must-get-it-perfect and in the end those thick strokes might get blended in, to fit in neatly. :D Anyways, I pay a lot attention to details, to sum up. =D

Sidenote - these are my fave M&M's :D The Yellow ones [yellow packaging] are too nutty and the brown ones are too.. plain-y. But I love crunchy stuff. 8D

Heey. =] I feel like writing an entry today, not much psychology, though, which, as mentioned, should be the thing I'd be writing. Eh, well. That can wait. Until the end of the month.. Damn it! This is that short month. D: Of course it is. -.-''

Back to my blogging today. So~ Snapshot post this time, let's see what I've got..

Right before Valentines day I got strawberries, my first this year. ♥ So, so tasty. ^^ They were from Egypt, which is.. interesting, haha. :D But kudos, Egypt, they got here safely, thank you~

Next picture includes stuff for oil painting and if you've been following what I write here, you know that I have this huge painting to do and I needed a bit of supplies. Couple of larger brushes, those metal thingies, bigger terpentine and two paints - white and that light brownish idk how is it called in english one. I mixed them to make the canvas in a veeery light yellowishy oldesque brown shade, like a base color. So it's not blank white to begin with. It was drying like 2 whole days, but the layer was soooo thin, geez, those slow oil paints.. -.-

By the way, this stuff is so pricey these days, maaan.. For these 7 items I paid 20 LVL which is ~40 U$D or ~30-35 EUR. LOLWUT. Thank gosh I don't need all my painting gear new, sheesh! I'm totally ebaying this stuff next time.

And here are three of my books which came a few days ago. Then another 3 came. And now I'm waiting for 3 more, lol, because it's cheaper to get 3, the shipping's cheaper. Got some ''orders'' which is nice, I'm glad people enjoy to browse my book, it makes me happeeh~ ^u^

Oh, and my mom asked me to teach her how to paint, when it's summer and we have more time. :D She actually helped me with painting the base on that canvas and with the leftover paint, she write text on the wall in bathroom, where the mirror hasn't been put in yet. I put that idea in her head as I drew on walls in our house which is being renovated now. xD She wrote ''Mirror, mirror on the wall... where are you?!'' Just in Latvian, of course. :]

And talking about renovations, I'm really getting something I've always wanted in my room - black sparkly carpet *dies* ♥

It is so, so awesome, it'll look great~ I can't wait to get my room done, though I wish I didn't have to spend any money doing all this, but I've been saving up for quite some time just for my room and it's slowly happening - the whole house is slowly getting pretty. I've awaited this renovation for so long~

Oh, here's a snapshot of a notebook I have, where I've written down the use of my tablet keys, which is a whole new science, because, if you haven't set your keys/shortcuts right, the tablet will simply be troublesome and not used for it's full potential.

Often something happens to my tablet or setting and suddenly all the keys go back to their raw setting and I cant figure what we're the shortcuts and everything that I've changed in the drawing program to my preference. :D I dunno how I manage to screw things up so often. -.-

Here you can see my naive japanese writing. :D Long story about the text, doesn't really matter, I can tell you that it is related tot Christmas. :'D P.s. I can only write in hiragana. -.-

I tried out some new eyeshadows by YSL, I can tell you that they are worth the price, though I wish they had more pigment, at least the ones I got. Which is blacks/greys/sparklies and silvers haha. xD I don't really use colors. But I want to. o.o

What is the use for aiming, if you don't shoot?

Yesterday I came across this line in my mind and it really hit me. You can understand it in at least two ways. Literally - when you aim for something, to accomplish something, you have to really go for it, not just yeah, I could probably maybe try to be an artist, yeeah, but - I will become a good artist! If you're doing something half-heartedly, what is the use for it? Nothing.

And the other way to understand would be by looking at this in the movies - if you've aimed, then why don't shoot? And then you get shot yourself. Why aim in the first place, if you're not gonna do it, then save us all the trouble, just do something else instead.. If you aimed it already means something and can't really be undone.

Around 2 weeks ago I got my second pocket sized Moleskine notebook for sketching/drawing. [Related posts] So, today I finally made a drawing, the first one in this sketchbook~ ♥ The colors are slightly different [greys/lilacs/yellows], it's just that the damned camera in my phone is not awesome at all. I now have a stupid, stupid HTC Touch Pro 2 phone, `cos my sister bought a new HTC one and gave me her old one and I gave my Sony Ericsson P1i to mom. :D But I liked my SE a lot better. D:

Oh, so, the drawing! I allow you to laugh at my kickass circles, because I did the by hand, with out that circles making thingy we use in math class. But whatever, it's supposed to be raw and traditional, doesn't have to be perfect. ^u^ The thing you should know is - I love to draw skinny, lanky and awkward people. And hair like this. Drawing mohawks is yum, but this is a half-mohowk, if even one.

..colour colouring books? At least one time you must have had done that, right? Well, I remember it clearly, I used to do that a LOT and I loved it! Hell, I still do it! Just usually my own drawings are the ones that get coloured and I've basically taken on a wanna-earn-living-by-colouring+drawing thing, as well, hehe. ^^''

So, the thing is - I got a nice invitation to join other ~15 artists to create a black&white artbook, which is going to be a colouring book, how awesome is that? It's not going to be that pricey and the artworks are going to be awe- wait for it.. AWESOME! I have always had struggle with drawing plants. D: I would love to learn how to properly present them and include in my drawings, but gosh, I'm always bored while drawing them. :I Same with scenery and landscapes. I just want to know how to draw all that without learning. :D I wish it was that simple~ My bored-ness always comes in my way and I lack focus on finishing. x.x

I planned to put some flowers into the huge canvas-ed painting, but I'm afraid I might really screw it up, `cos there ain't no `undo` buttons on that brush, yo~ :D

So, I did a little digital sketchy paintsy thing, supposed to be a rose? EH. I got carried away. o.o Anyways, at least 30 minutes spent on something rather than nothing. Right? =]

What the hell am I talking about? Well. A few months ago a relative asked me if I could do a painting on canvas for her private psychiatry office and of course I agreed. No, I don't regret it at all or anything, I can't wait to start working on it actually! The thing is, I thought it'd be like.. uhm, let's see the picture first!

You see how BIG it is? D: I thought that I'm gonna be working on something half the size, but it's.. it's.. TWO HALVES of what I was thinking, it's so, so huge! I have never worked on anything that huge.. You can see the normal A4 size I'm comfy with. :D That's for comparison.

I have somewhat thought of what I will paint, but with oil paints.. it's a bit tricky. I've done a couple of A4 canvas oil painting ~2 years ago, but in this scale, it's a whole different thing. Oh, God, if you're out there GIVE ME STRENGTH! :D

I don't have that much paints or that big brushes anyway, I guess there's gonna be some shopping ahead. ^^

This is something that I'll never finish or work on again. When it's not working.. it just is not working.

I was brainstorming on what to put on the huge canvas, I have to be careful not to put something too sad or too happy, because it's a psychiatry office and I don't want for the painting to scream louder then the patients emotions. I need to paint something light and inspiring~

And my second Moleskine sketchbook arrived recently, it's pocket sized and the paper is for sketching and drawing this time [the other one I got was for watercolours].

Hello everyone who is new and everyone who's already followed my blog for some time. So, yesterday I somehow managed to get noticed by blogger and got put up in the Blogs Of Note page http://blogsofnote.blogspot.com/ which is really awesome and I can't thank enough! It's not that it is cool that a bunch of people now follow me, I mean, I really appreciate it a lot, because all the feedback I get on my drawings [still lame and raw ones] can really help me to study myself and this platform also has [already] given me some freelance job opportunities just during this one/two days, it's crazy! Not to mention from 20 or so followers it got to 130 and counting, wow. x.x

I'm glad people find this blog look ''cool'', haha, so many of you mentioned, thanks! I got a lot of questions for blogging tips and design tips, geez, I didn't even know I had any before I got these questions. :D

I will keep updating with sketches and drawings, snapshots, pictures and everything else as before, so hopefully, you will stick around. ♥

Tomorrow I'll update with a step-by-step gif animation of this little drawing I did especially for this post. ^^ That's kind of me in a cartoony style perhaps, I dunno, but that is how I much or less ''look''. =D Sorry, it's a bit sloppy, but that is how sketches and rough pieces tend to be. :'D

Here's a little gift idea, if you might need one [`cos I'm always out of ideas, lol :D].

Recently my best friend had her.. names day? Lol, I don't even know if others have them in different countries. o.o'' What is it: in calenders under every date there are 1-5 [or so] names, e.g. Jamie, Jenna, Keith [just latvian words, of course!] and that they those people celebrate their names. Just like birthdays, just not that big. :] Anyways, there's always presents, haha .;D

So, the gift~

I got a box that is also like a picture frame, it's really cute, sleek and black. And then I put some pictures in the little frames. It has been so long since anyone went to the photo studio to print the pictures, who does that nowadays? Damn, the digital technology! Anyways, so, I also got a bunch of other pictures made to put in my own picture boxes [I'm a box freak as well, if it's a cute box, I gotta have it.]. There's two for me, lol. :'D

This one's for my frined, there's also me in the middle tiny frame next to my BFF [first time using the term! I deserve a cookie or something?]

Inside I put some candy and another picture of her, it was taken while we we're baking some kind of little muffin cakes. We bake a lot together. =D So, for a names day this is a nice gift to give and she was really happy when she saw it and plus the picture inside made giggles all over the place. :D

This is one of my boxes. There's our cat, my face, daddy, another my face and my face with some friends faces. =D

And my other box, it's bigger, as it can be seen, ha. It has 2 drawers and see those odd thingies on the top? You can pull them out seperately and the each can hold bunch of pictures. Then there's another my face and my last summers favorite drink, Daiquiri. As I'm not a drinker at at all.

This box me and mom made for my sister. :'D She was pretty mad about one of the pictures, but she loves the box anyways, so it's all good. :'D

And I now have a new phone. Not that I like it or anything. x.x Sis` got a new HTC Desire HD and gave me her old HTC TOUCH PRO 2 or what the hell is it's name and I gave mine to mom. :D I like that it takes wider photos, though~ But this last pic is taken with the front camera which sucks so yeah. :I

So, my second review post for today, `cos I got two awesome items today in the mail! Yay me! I can't really believe how cheap I got it. xD Wanna know from where? Guess 3 times, no, one time! Ebay - China, man!! And it is a freaking original perfect item, I've never gotten any disappointing things from ebay, is it luck? Or I jut know where and how to search right. :'D It was almost 7 pounds/13 or 14 dollars + free shipping, how cool is that?

Recently I made a book of my drawings and everything from the year 2010, so the best of my digital and traditional pieces are in one safe place and not only in my computer screen. I used the bookmaker program which www.blurb.com provides and got my book done! So here are some previews of it. It's pictures only [like 3% text xD] and the colours are juicy - thanks Blurb!

I got it today and was extremely excited, when opened - it's all glossy and shiny, just wonderful. :]

The cover. The book is really thin, around ~5 mm haha~ Around 50 pages, I think it was. :'DD

First page - some previews and yeah, title I guess? But those are just words, there is no actual theory, just visuals. :D

For little things I use my easy-to-use watercolour that my dad brought me from Germany ~8 years ago, haha. :D But while they give me colours, I'm keeping them. =D I haven't really pulled out the professional watercolours.. I really should one day, but I really hate the time that is wasted while you set up for traditional paints. x.x

I dunno, if I've previously mentioned these brushes, but I have three of this kind, where you pour the water right in! :D So cool, I love `em. =D

Moleskine Watercolour Notebook - my first ♥

AAAAA~ ^D^ I'm so excited! I love everything about notebooks, journals, sketchbooks and all those similar t them. ♥ I have so many, several ones for sketching and drawing, some journal type of notebooks and others from school times, where your friends filled out them answering several questions, like a poll or memory-journal. AH. LOVE. I think that this is something that I collect, perhaps. o.o'' I've always wanted to collect things, but never knew, what is my ''thing''. I guess, that notebooks are it. :D

Now to the title - yes, I ordered my first Moleskine notebook, which is pocket size and the paper is suited specially for watercolours. It's really small and cute, I adore it! :] I'll be using it rarely, I suppose, but just for those special rare times, now I have one. ^^

I also ordered a small one for sketching, that hasn't arrived yet, though~ [I got them on ebay, from different sellers, so that's why]

The first opening and last is in light yellow shade, you can't really tell that in the pictures. [rest of the pages are white, of course!]

Handy. :D I find it quite interesting, that it has such a first page.

At the last page/back/opening there is a pocket and some literature~

Handy for little paper somethings. :D

In general, it's really nice and small, the round corners are a smart idea, as they won't bend, if you're taking the notebook with you all the time. The hard-cover.. uhm .. covers [:D] are great, nice and strong and the black apparel is just perfect. I love it! And sure recommend it - your doodles will feel more precious in it. :]

One day we made rice noodles [note that basic noodles do not work with this!] with teriyaki てりやき sauce, vegetables and shrimp = yum, I say. I'm not a vegetable person, meat is my thing, so I was concerned that I might not like it, but it tastes so good! I suggest you try making this yourself some time, with friends, it's easy as well. :] You can get the sauce in stores, I suppose. ;D

This time I'm gonna update with a bunch of crappy photos and actually some text, as I usually don't write anything when I post sketches, they [mostly] speak for themselves].

~4 weeks ago I found a really cute coat on the net, that I really wanted - pink + military style = hello? It was written that it costs ~20 pounds, which is almost the same in my currency, which is ~37-40 U$D, pretty cheap!

And I haven't been shopping for over a century so I really wanted to get it.. and plus a couple of other stuff from that online store.

A week later, I found out an asian wholesale website where that coat costs like fricken ~7 pounds/Ls7.49! WTF? So, I scooped around and understood, that my time to purchase a lot of chinese clothing is here. XD As we all know, the basic mainstream clothes that we buy in the stores [ZARA, NewYorker, whatever] are mostly made in China, let's face it - China makes everything. :D [It's a bad assumption that they make bad stuff, because - we want cheap, so they HAVE to make things from cheaper materials and use less time consuming ways to make things, as time is money. In the end we get our, for example, cheap boots that brake when you step outside your house. It's not their fault, we asked for cheaper.]

BUT that is totally off topic! They make some of the best quality stuff as well, anyways. Where was I? So. The wholesale online store. I can't believe the awkwardly low prices, ridiculous. So I read some stuff [reviews, infos on the site], tried to find the catch. There pretty much was none, only that you have to buy at least 20 pieces [or ten], but knowing, that more the pieces - heavier the package - more $ for shipping. Though, when I did some math [actually mostly my best friend did, I just nodded and agreed to everything] it appeared that average price for one item with shipping would be ~Ls5.35/5 pounds! That's it, I have to buy those china things! As I've been saving up like crazy I decided to finally spend ~200 U$D/100GBP on those clothes, buy some so I don't spend money on the pricey same stuff here in the stores.

Basically, my first time trusting a China wholesale online store! :D What can I say? SUCCESSFUL!!

In the end, 3 weeks ago, I got 18 items, my friends- 7 and 2, and I think we mistakenly got 2 extra things for 0 $. xD [they showed up on the item list, but we didn't get higher $ in the receipt. :'D]

5 green packages arrived yesterday and we will open them tomorrow, as I don't want to do it on my own. :D I only made little cuts into those packs to see, where's my coat at. XD I got it out and yay, it's exactly the way I wanted. <3 Here, let me show you. Caution - crappy snapshots ahead!

it's not fully closed, there's 2 more buttons up there. It' s so pink/rose red gah, I love it.

It has a really high neck, so you can hide a bit of your face to avoid the coooold~ The pics are in different colors, hah. xD They were taken at different times. :]

Quality? I can't tell about the other things that are still wrapped in packaging, but I showed this to mom, and as she examined it [she has studied sewing and things like that], she said it's pretty neatly done, even better then some stuff in the stores, so I was pretty stoked about that. ^^ And the tag said, it's made in Korea. Eh, who knows anymore. :D

There were no errors or missing somethings like buttons or anything, in fact - the buttons are so precious, shiny and gorgeous! Silverish <--

Of course, it was a bit crumpled, because it was squeezed as small as possible - smaller packaging = better to ship. But that goes out in a sec with a little bit of ironing.

I hope that all of my other 17 pieces are as nice as this one, I'm glad I ordered from them. :] I will probably make more snaps as I wear these things, maybe some snaps on Monday to see the mess and piles of clothing to be unleashed tomorrow, ah, can't wait! I feel like it's Christmas! :D Oh, and we're gonna make gingerbreads, too. ^^

I also got all of my four books from the book depository . com - shall snap them later as well!

I haven't actually had any bad experience in online shopping, I've ordered things from all over the world and I'm glad that this century allows it. ^D^

It Hurts.

I've been listening to It Hurts by 2NE1 a lot and I mean A LOT - 70 scrobbles on last.fm [2nd in the list], dozens of times on YouTube and some serious amount watching the vid on my iPod, so I guess it deserves a promotion!

I wanted to draw all the girls in chibi style from the video clip, with those outfits and looks, that video is just effing precious, so inspiring, I love it!

Here some progress, I've got a guiding line lineart ready, I wonder how I'll color it..

I positioned them a bit differently because of Dara's huge hair. :D Oh, and Bom is sitting. <.< xD

We'll see where this goes.

I'm slowly getting to the second picture for the coloring book. I haven't decided what is he going to wear. Nor she. xD Those are just ''for now'' clothes, hnn.

Also - I'm not going to publish the finished sketches here, nor the finished linearts, as I want to keep it a bit mysterious. You know, like I don't want to show the final concepts. ^^ Only the first rough steps - that's it! ^^

I'm glad there's decent progress to finishing my three drawings for the book, the one I mentioned in the previous post. I guess, knowing that I need a simple lineart in the end, is kind of a breeze. :'D No coloring, figuring out how to color, where to start, how to not fail.

This is a cliche thing [wings+horns - HEY!] a more finished sketch version of the sneak peek I showed previously. This is the size it will be in the end. No not the size, but you know. The whole picture is going to be full body with weird thingies around. Yea.

Started the next one. In the building stage, still dunno what it's gonna be in the end, everything might change. Who knows. o.o
